Had put the Times article aside to read later. When I saw Eames Brothers (capital B?????) I googled it to make sure I wasn't crazy, and found you. Thanks.

Steven, thanks for taking the time to comment over here. I must admit to a certain glee at catching the Times in this kind of error, and I think pointing it out can only help to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen in the future. I can honestly say that I enjoyed the rest of the article after I emailed the Times and put up this post.

I promise you mistakes like that are even more irritating to the people who make them!

I can honestly say that I just always assumed that Charles and Ray were brothers, and for whatever reason hadn't collided with any information that disabused me of this notion until this morning. I don't know what happened at the Times yet: it may be that others were under the same fraternal impression, or that the allusion somehow flew below the fact-checking radar.

The weird thing is that it's much more difficult to get a web article corrected when the article is on the Times site -- even though presumably there are hundreds of people employed to make sure the Times is as accurate as possible. It's driving me a little nuts that it's still on the site as of 9PM tonight...
