Communications: This is what I’m paid to do. I help clients to communicate and interact with their customers and the larger world. Mostly I do this with Web writing, but I have learned a few things about communication strategies in general.

The Web and Web design: There are interesting things going on in the online world, and I hope to point out what I think is going right and what’s not. I may even have some novel insights of my own.

Writing and editing: Another thing that has to do with my career of the past decade or so. My own experience and the expertise of my mentors have turned me into a plain-English advocate. Big time.

The Macintosh platform: Apple often creates the computing equivalent of good plain-English writing. Sometimes they don’t quite manage it. I’m a fan, though, and will post about interesting things in the Apple world.

Food and wine: This is such a big part of my life that I can’t help but include it.
